On Monday, April 8th, a solar eclipse will occur between 2:00 pm and 4:30 pm. While we won't experience totality, we'll witness an impressive 95% coverage!
Before Monday, please discuss the eclipse and the importance of eye safety with your child. Emphasize that they should never look directly at the sun without proper protection, even for a brief moment. Together, we can ensure a safe and educational experience for everyone as we learn about this awe-inspiring event.

Just a reminder, tomorrow is a Virtual Learning Day. There is no in-person learning for all BHAS students. All assignments will be posted online or given to students today as work packets. Assignments must be turned in or returned by Monday in order to receive a grade.
Additionally, we are holding District Wide Parent Teacher Conferences from 8:00am-6:00 p.m tomorrow. Please reach out to your child's school for additional details.


Hello DEC and MLK Families,
Due to a power outage affecting our schools today, Thursday, February 29, 2024, we will be dismissing DEC and MLK students early. Before dismissal, students and staff will be transported to Benton Harbor High School for lunch. Students will be dismissed at 12:30 p.m. from Benton Harbor High School. Thank you for your continued support of our students and schools.
